Quality & Documentation Support
Rubinox supports documentation review and coordination based on buyer requirements and applicable material source documentation. Requirements should be shared at RFQ stage so they can be reviewed before quotation or order confirmation.
MTC / Mill Test Certificate Guidance
MTC requirements should be specified with the material grade, standard, product form and quantity. MTC availability depends on material, origin, grade, form and supplier source.
- State whether MTC is required before quotation.
- Ask for heat number or batch traceability where needed.
- Confirm whether project format or additional testing is required.
EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2
EN 10204 documentation guide| Type | General use | RFQ action |
|---|
| 3.1 | Specific inspection certificate commonly requested for industrial metal procurement | Mention 3.1 MTC in the RFQ if required |
| 3.2 | Certificate involving additional independent or buyer-authorized validation | State 3.2 early because inspection coordination and cost may change |
PMI Testing Coordination
Positive Material Identification may be requested for grade verification where applicable. Buyers should specify PMI scope, method, lot size, report format and timing.
Third-Party Inspection Coordination
Third-party inspection may be coordinated where required and commercially agreed. Inspection scope, agency, location, hold points, witness requirements and reporting format should be shared before quotation.
Packing, Marking and Traceability
- Heat number or batch references where applicable.
- Tagging, paint marking, stamping or label requirements.
- Wooden box, bundle, pallet, seaworthy or project packing expectations.
- Item-wise packing list and dispatch details where required.
Export Documentation Support
Export documentation support can be reviewed based on buyer destination, logistics route and commercial scope. Buyers should mention invoice, packing list, COO, inspection, MTC and destination-specific expectations where applicable.

Quality Documentation FAQs
Does Rubinox guarantee MTC for every item?
No blanket guarantee is made. MTC and test document availability depends on material, origin, grade, form and supplier source, and should be requested at RFQ stage.
Can third-party inspection be coordinated?
Third-party inspection may be coordinated where required and commercially agreed, subject to material, location, inspection scope and schedule.
What is the difference between EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2?
EN 10204 3.1 is generally an inspection certificate with specific test results validated by a source-authorized inspection representative, while 3.2 adds independent or buyer-authorized validation.
Can buyers request PMI testing?
Yes. PMI requirements should be stated before quotation or order confirmation so scope, method, reporting and commercial impact can be reviewed.
What documentation should export buyers mention?
Export buyers should mention packing, marking, destination, invoice, packing list, certificate, inspection and any country-specific document expectations.
